The Solution Builder training was developed to foster the use of an internal order capture and progress tool. Employees had access to the tool for about a year previous to the training, however, there was only about 50% adoption.
The course took an “at-the-elbow” approach where context was added at each step and each function of the software was expanded upon at the first appearance. This was to mimic a mentor or trainer standing next to the employee guiding them through the process of order entry.
Additionally, a Product Solutions Guide was developed which gave all of the options for each type of product and service offered to better aid adoption.
Three months after the training launch, adoption of the tool was up to 80%.
