The goal of this experiment was to capture a user’s answers to a series of questions and then allow them to compare each to a model answer.
This was previously done as part of a paper process with a mentor, but ensuring that the process happened and was recorded was difficult.
Since the LMS could not capture and report on the individual answers, and the answers were lost to the ether once the course was closed, I used javascript in Storyline to print out all of the user’s answers and set them to print in PDF format. The challenge here was to make it so the javascript would never have to be touched by a developer after the template was build. This was accomplished by making all of the questions, user answers, and model answers variables. This template is going to be used for over 20 of these reflection type question sessions.
